What Can You Do With A Biology Degree?
Each diploma program combines rigorous core requirements with a wide range of electives. The Department of Biological Sciences seeks to stimulate an curiosity in scientific inquiry and the variety of living organisms. We seeks to equip college students with abilities essential for future employment in various scientifically-associated fields or for additional examine at graduate and/or skilled schools. We provide MS and PhD packages in Cell and Molecular Biology, Ecology and Evolution, and Neuroscience.
Faculty advisers carefully work together with University of the Pacific’s Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry admissions committees to facilitate scholar transition from pre-skilled to skilled packages. The Department of Biological Sciences also provides a graduate program resulting in a Master of Science degree. The MS Program permits college students to work closely with school members in research and instructing. All living organisms share several key properties similar to order, sensitivity or response to stimuli, copy, adaptation, growth and growth, regulation, homeostasis, and energy processing. Living issues are highly organized following a hierarchy that includes atoms, molecules, organelles, cells, tissues, organs, and organ techniques.
